The SMMA Blueprint (Summarized by the Co-Creator) In 5 Minutes

I know you’re busy with everything going on in life. So what I’d like to do today is give you our newest rendition of our program The SMMA Blueprint 2.0, if you haven’t signed up for it yet, in 5 minutes or less.

I don’t care if there are spoilers in here, I don’t care if it means you don’t buy it…

What I care about is entrepreneurship and a world in which entrepreneurship is more commonplace.

The SMMA Blueprint has 4 key principles that really guide each and every person who comes through the program. (Hold up the program on the iPad)

These stages and principles are essential to growth.

We’ve tested this process on nearly 1000 students and have interviewed over 500 agency owners to extract the secrets to success.

We break it down into 4 major growth points

1. Getting in the game

2. Client Acquisition

3. Service Fulfilment

4. Team building/Scaling

So getting in the game.

Typically people come into the program in one of two places.

A) they’ve already done some homework, roughly know what they’re doing…may even have some clients, and just want to accelerate their growth with a simple predictable process.

Or B) Completely new, no experience, not sure what to do or how to do it.

Both camps are completely welcomed and supported here.

If you’re in the ladder of these two groups our fundamental goal is to get your business stood up, and get you in the game.

Many will say you need to pay legal zoom, sign up for all these tools, partner up with an outsourcing group or start hiring people immediately…all these expensive things that are absolutely not necessary to get started.

You can get started with 15–20 bucks a month. That is unheard of in the world of entrepreneurship.

The days of it takes money to make money is gone. It takes skills to make money in the new economy.

Our goal in the first week is to have the fundamental foundation of your agency stood up as quickly and as low cost as possible.

AND not only that…landing your first client that you can develop your agency’s first case study with.

This is essential to getting experience, getting in the game, and overcoming the biggest objection you could face as a new business owner which is:

“Show me your work, who have you done this for.”

If you’re worried about those words being spoken to you on a discovery call…you will self-sabotage this whole process because you will be suffering from imposter syndrome.

It’s totally normal to feel that way if you don’t go through these steps outlined in the course, so we make it simple and attack this immediately when starting in the program.

Client Acquisition

Now we don’t call this “sales” for a reason. Sales has a vibe to it that many of you have felt before.

You think of the used car salesman. The person who pushes you to do something, you’re not really comfortable moving forward with.

That is the exact opposite of client acquisition. It’s like a push (sales) vs a pull (client acquisition).

We want to pull people in and be the strategic advisor to our clients rather than pushing anything.

Most of the time we NEVER even bring up the actual SMMA services until we’re deep into the conversation.

That’s because we make it about them, their goals, their business. Not about us and our process (at first).

There’s an endless amount of outreach methods out there that you can use to attract your ideal clients.

We cover every one of those in the blueprint, but we also simplify the process so it’s actually something anyone can go out and do.

We coin this process our “3-Step-Close” and the “Pick two method”

The “3-Step-Close” is our exact selling process on how we take someone from completely brand unaware of us, through the discovery phase, and into the proposal and closing phase.

The “Pick two method” is all about simplifying the outreach process. With all the endless options out there, we find out your strengths and weaknesses and simply identify two outreach methods that will bring, you personally, the best results.

Before David and I started our SMMA, we had already sold over 15M dollars of products and services for other companies (making someone else’s dreams come true). So we dive incredibly deep into this topic, more so than I can cover here.

Next up is service fulfillment

A fundamental principle that we believe is in order for you to be confident you must be competent and well versed in how to actually fulfill these services.

Many will tell you “oh this is a passive, sit on the beach and watch your bank account grow business” Which in some ways it can be…David is going to be literally on the beach all next week….

But in reality, you should not go into this business wanting to immediately check out of it.

Think of it this way. Say an investor came along and wanted to buy you out, purchase your SMMA outright.

They are going to do their due diligence before purchasing, look at your revenue, costs, and processes.

If they look under the hood and see that all of your clients are actually being serviced by another outsourced third party…you really don’t have a valuable business.

Your entire company is a middle person between client and fulfillment. Really the only value you’re bringing is arranging the partnership and at that point, you’re just a broker for the deal.

No one is going to buy your business…it’s fragile, vulnerable, and worth nothing.

Now if you have internal SOPs or Standard Operating Procedures that your internal team is following. Now you have a well-oiled machine that is tangible, valuable, and could easily be purchased by an outside buyer to keep up the day-to-day revenues.

This is what we want for your business. In the blueprint, we walk you through step by step how to generate results for your clients so you can do it yourself and most importantly, hire and train others to do so.

People in the blueprint will take this information and use it in one of two ways:

  1. They will become social media wizards, fulfill the services themselves, and keep all the profits.

2. They will learn the fundamentals of SMMA fulfill the services on one or two accounts and then go hire and train a team because they actually know what they are doing and who to hire.

This allows you to avoid bringing in a super expensive expert who is going to have their own process, and simply train individuals with less experience on your process.

This saves you a lot of money.

Who should I hire first? How much is it going to cost me?

We don’t want you to be the glorified freelancer who is the jack of all trades. Just because you can do a task because you’re equipped from the blueprint, doesn’t mean you should.

We added up how much we paid the team recently and it was something crazy like 15,000 hours which well over a calendar year when you add it up in a very short time frame.

David and I couldn’t possibly even try to run every aspect of our business by ourselves.

Back when we first started. We went all out on our sales process, made the agency over 50k dollars in a month and very shortly the wheels started falling off.

We had no SOPs or team members to support that kind of growth.

In this section, we want to enable you to have a rock-solid foundation built brick by brick on the process, systems, and people.
